Antennas and Radiowave Propagation by Collin

#
Antennas and Radiowave Propagation by Collin is a traditional orthodox book for antennas and propagation with lots of mathematical derivations and diagrams. The book takes you for a ride into deeper levels of understanding. Readers will get hooked to this book but it takes time to appreciate the concepts.

ARM System-on-Chip Architecture

#

ARM System-on-Chip Architecture presents and discusses the major issues of system-on-chip design, including memory hierarchy, caches, memory management, on-chip buses, on-chip debug and production tests. It provides an overview of the ARM processor family, enabling the reader to decide which ARM is best for the job in hand, describes the ARM and Thumb programming models enabling the designer to begin to develop applications. It also covers all the latest ARM products and developments, including StrongARM, the ARM9 and ARM10 series of cores, and the ARM-based SoC components at the heart of Ericsson's Bluetooth technology, the Psion Series 5 PDA and Samsung's SGH2400 GSM handset. It includes details on the AMULET asynchronous ARM cores and the AMULET3H asynchronous SoC subsystem. ARM System-on-Chip Architecture is an essential handbook for system-on-chip designers using ARM processor cores and engineers working with the ARM. It can also be used as a course text for undergraduate and masters students of computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering.

Gate ECE by R.K.Kanodia

#
The book Multiple Choice Questions for Electronics and Communication Engineering -- Authored by Raj Kumar Kanodia RK Kanodia is intended to provide the aspirants of GATE/IAS/IES the set of problems which will enrich their preparation for the exam.

The book is categorized into units which are then sub-divided into chapters and the concepts are addressed in detail before the exercises. The aim of the book is to provide a planned way to success for any competive exam, espcially GATE-ECE. Again time is a critical factor both in competive exams preparation. So the problem solving methods in the book are those which take the least time to the solution. But however to make a comment that this book is absolute for GATE preparation will be an inappropriate one. But for a wide collection of problems, for a variety of problems and the efficient way of solving them, what one needs to go through is there in the book. Each unit (e.g. Networks) is subdivided into average seven number of chapters on an average each of which contains 45 problems which are selected so as to avoid unnecessary redundancy and highly needed completeness.
